anonymize.solutions vs BigID
By its own description, BigID finds and classifies sensitive data where it is stored, across an organisation’s systems, and governs it there. anonym.legal and anonym.plus take personal data out of a text at the moment it is used — a prompt, a document, a ticket. Different jobs, and a large organisation may need both.

Where each is the better answer
BigID fits better when
- You do not yet know where personal data sits across hundreds of systems
- You need posture management, access governance and deletion across the estate
- Your security team is buying one platform for all of it
anonym.legal or anonym.plus fits better when
- The exposure is the text being sent right now, not the data at rest
- The text must never leave the machine (anonym.plus)
- You want to start today at a published price, without a platform rollout
Using both
BigID can tell you where personal data lives and who can reach it. It does not sit in the path of a prompt that somebody is about to send to a model; anonym.legal and anonym.plus do. Its public pages describe masking and redaction as remediation of the data it has discovered — we have not tested how that compares with ours, and say so rather than guess.
