Terms of Service

1. Service Description

We provide a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for personally identifiable information (PII) detection and anonymization, delivered as managed hosting. The Service utilizes Microsoft Presidio and deterministic regex engines for PII detection and offers multiple protection operators including masking, redaction, synthetic data generation, hashing, encryption, and keep operations.

2. Data Handling

All text submitted for anonymization is processed exclusively in-memory and is never stored persistently. Input and output text data is discarded immediately upon completion of processing. No logs of submitted text content are maintained. Only metadata such as timestamps, token consumption, and API endpoint usage is recorded for billing and operational purposes.

3. Accuracy Disclaimer

The Service employs automated PII detection using natural language processing (NLP) and pattern-matching algorithms. While the platform is designed to detect a broad range of PII entity types, anonymize.solutions does not guarantee 100% detection accuracy. Detection results may vary depending on language, context, formatting, and entity type. Users are solely responsible for verifying anonymization results before using or distributing processed text.

4. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. anonymize.solutions does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all PII will be detected and anonymized.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, anonymize.solutions SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

6. Intellectual Property

The anonymize.solutions platform, including its design, architecture, brand, documentation, and proprietary components, is owned by anonymize.solutions. All rights not expressly granted to the user are reserved.

The Service incorporates open-source components licensed under MIT, Apache 2.0, and other permissive open-source licenses. Use of these components is subject to their respective license terms. A list of open-source components and their licenses is available upon request.

7. User Obligations

By using the Service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys
• Not attempt unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or underlying systems
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Not make excessive automated requests that could degrade Service performance for other users
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
• Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose

8. Account and Termination

anonymize.solutions reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at its sole discretion.

Users may terminate their account at any time through self-service account deletion. Upon termination, access to the Service will continue until the end of the current billing cycle. After termination, all account data will be deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

9. Pricing and Payment

Pricing is based on token consumption and the selected service tier. anonymize.solutions reserves the right to modify pricing with 30 days advance notice to existing customers. Continued use of the Service after a pricing change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

10. Service Modifications

anonymize.solutions reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Saarbrücken, Germany.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
